Still Alive

Hey everyone. I am just making this post to let folks know that I'm still alive and I haven't abandoned this blog - I know it might seem that way sometimes due to my lack of activity. I've been moving around these last few years and it's been tough for me to keep up with all of my projects and priorities. I am now back in San Francisco working as a web developer for a non-profit ethnic media organization. I am hoping to find enough time to start updating this blog again in the near future.

I've been looking at the traffic analytics for this blog and noticed that there's been a pretty big spike in unique visitors the last couple months. I've also noticed people have been contributing comments. I just want to let everyone know that I appreciate your interest in my blog and the fact that you've been contributing to it these last couple of years. This blog would be worthless without your support.

When I first created this blog, my intentions were to reach out to people, share my research and raise awareness of this Patel/slumlord issue in San Francisco. I think that since then, I've not only achieved that goal, but reached out to a much wider audience than I had initially anticipated.

I never expected this blog to become so popular - It got 696 views last month. I contemplated the idea of putting up some google ads on this blog to generate some revenue, but I decided not to do it. Putting up ads would compromise the integrity of this blog. I want this blog to be clean, informative, and ad-free. If any of you have anything else you wish to contribute, feel free to post a comment. If you don't want your comment published on the blog, just say so and I'll keep it unpublished.

Thanks again everyone.

Until next time.

  1. Glad you are alive.

We need real muckraker journalists like you to expose the defunct and greedy capitalist and "affirmative action" government agencies who are breeding the worst scums of the human race to giving this great country a bad name.

Next if you can I want you to investigate the taxi details and their deep-pockets hand-outs Inside and out the taxi commissioner's office.

Third federal government agencies that are employing second degree bikinguist who are nodding necks to supervisors who has no clue what it means to think against inhumane regulations and by laws.

Yeah let's put this onto a publication. One that really advocates the oppressed people who are so named "consumers" but without any rights whatsoever as if they are non-entities.

    2. Hi,

I assure you that I respect your privacy and have no intention of releasing any of your personal information to anyone.

However, you are free to do as you please, and you are not obligated to take my word for it. You don't have to trust me if you don't want to...

But, I am rather curious, and would certainly like to see whatever information you might have on this matter.

Ultimately, the choice is yours to make... I can't offer anything but my own word on this.

  4. I find this blog fascinating. I'm presently spending the night in Tifton, GA. In researching this town, I came across http://www.tiftontourism.com/stay.html. This page lists the lodging options found here. 6 of the 15 properties listed are managed by a Patel. Some quick Google searches revealed your blog, as well as this 13yo NYT piece - http://www.nytimes.com/1999/07/04/magazine/a-patel-motel-cartel.html
